This is a layout that I made of our drive to California last year. I have actually had this layout sketched out for quite some time, but just finally got around to getting it done. I am trying to use up supplies I already have, so I used some left over chipboard letters and covered them with cardstock. I like the look of the different fonts.

I wanted to do some challenges, so I made this layout for the challenges they just started at disney scrappers. The challenge was "Caution! You May Get Wet". So I did a layout of Splash Mountain from our Disneyland trip last year.

I had this layout done at the end of the year, but didn't have all the pictures to go on it until recently. I love this paper line! This is a layout of our new year tradition of staying home, eating a huge patter of cheese and crackers form Swiss Colony, and playing board games. Pretty fun!Individuals...

Disneyland Matterhorn Bobsleds

So I got all these pictures out from Disneyland last year thinking I could do one of the challenges at www.disneyscrappers.ning.com, but ended up doing a layout that doesn't go with any of the challenges....haha...of course! :) Here is a layout of the Matterhorn Bobsleds (I missed this one at Disney World this year!). I cut the abominable snowman from a scal cut at http://mardenz.blogspot.com, but thought he looked a little plain so I added some mulberry I had laying around from the tear bear phase I went through....

I have created something! I know, I can hardly believe it! I have not used any of my supplies since I can remember! Not that I haven't been buying more of them :) I made this little card for my nephews 7th birthday party tomorrow and thought that I would share this amazing achievement of mine! I even got to use my Mini Monster cartridge I bought at the beginning of the year! I may even get crazy and actually make a layout....I have been eyeing some Disney challenges.......

Here it is March, and I have posted zip in so long! I guess I have been pretty busy. I have been busy with school (5 classes to go until I get my degree!). I have had terrible scrappers block the past few months, I have been just staring at the same layouts forever, I just need to force myself to get them done so it will go away! :) I guess sometimes you just need a break. I wish I was one of those scrappers who could just keep turning out amazing pages everyday, maybe someday when I have more time!

For some good stuff..we just returned from our first visit to Disneyworld yesterday! We had lots of fun and didn't want to come home to Washington States yucky weather. I wanted to pack up a few palm trees in my suitcase. Growing up in California, I sure miss those silly trees! Anyway, here are a few pics from our trip, hopefully I will get these scrapped soon!

I didn't realize that I have not posted since Christmas! Well, I hope all had a great Christmas and a happy new years eve! I did actually manage to get all my 2010 layouts done, BUT I cant call the book complete until I get all the pictures printed from Christmas and attached to the page (which I continue to wait for my sister to give me copies of the pics she took, just in case they came out better than mine).

I did come up with some new goals for the new year. I toyed with the idea of 211 layouts in 2011, but that seems extreme to me, so I think I am going to try for the usual 100 goal. But I do want to complete some albums-

* Niks Book 2 (Ages 1-2)
* Nik Book 3 (Ages 3-5)
* William Baby Book (yes, he will be 12 this year)
* William Book 2 (Ages 1-2)
* Disneyland 2010

Maybe I can do it, maybe I cant. But it is nice to have a goal.

Okay, I officially love Crate Papers School Spirit Collection. I love it so much I want to buy another pack! I am still plugging away at our 2010 family album. I am almost done! Here are two layouts I did with the School Spirit paper line. I wanted to do a layout to commemorate both the boys going to junior high this year, and how much we (mostly me!) will miss our elementary school. The second layout is back to school this year.

Halloween? Really? That was the last time I posted on my blog? Time is really flying right now! I am still struggling with getting pages done. I have done a whopping 3 pages the last two months. Wow, a whole month of no posts! I have put scrapbooking on the back burner lately (sigh), I have been busy with soccer and school. And to top it off, no modivation! I finally got an afternoon to myself and finished another disney layout that has been half done since spring, I am working on getting my mojo back!

Well, its almost back to school for the boys again, I have started new classes myself. But I did have time to put together this layout of our stop at Madame Tussuad's Wax Museum in Hollywood. This is another layout for the Disney/California 2010 Album. I have been thinking about his layout for awhile, I sketched it out, trying to get as many pictures as possible on it. I managed 16, but had to leave out sooo many I liked. Oh well, I guess we will have to go back!

Yep, I am still here! I can't believe it has almost been a month since I posted anything! I just finished a very intense class that was keeping me very occupied. I have been so busy, I have had no time for scrapping! Which makes me a little grouchy, cause I don't have my creative outlet. I have had this layout sitting on my table for a few weeks. I used the Aug. 6th sketch at StuckOnU sketches for this one. Better late than never, I guess!

Yeah! I have officially started my Disneyland 2010 album. I have about six layouts invested in now! I love doing Disney layouts! I like to get them done before we go back. I think it would be to confusing if I didn't.

I scraplifted the "California" sign picture idea form someone on a scrap site somewhere.

I love the look! I did feel kinda silly taking a picture of every letter, but that's the life of a scrapper right?
I like the way that this turned out! I took a few lines from the Cruella De Vil song for my journaling.

31 Layouts In 31 Days!

I made my own personal goal last month to do 31 layouts in 31 days. I didn't tell anyone, just in case I couldn't do it. But I DID! I had five layouts left to do this weekend and I alternated studying for a test and doing layouts, and got them done. Like I was gonna quit with 5 left! Here are a few of the last ones I did....

This is offically my 21st page this month! I'm so proud of myself! I have finished 3 of my family albums and only have a few pages left to get caught up to current pics! Then of course its on to Disney, and the boys albums, maybe someday I can make my own album. Anyway, here is the latest page I finished up last night. These are pictures from the family picnic at the boys daycare last year. They had Michael Jackson theme and all the boys stole the show dancing Thriller. It was too funny! I used a sketch by Allison Davis http://www.allisonrdavis.blogspot.com/, paper is the eerie collection from Basic Grey, and the Oct. 31st cricut cartridge for the hand.

This week there is no sketch. The challenge is stars and stripes. Since I am all out of fourth of july layouts, I did the first layout in my sons baby album I have been wanting to get started for awhile. This album is a little different for me since it is going to be 8 1/2 x 11 horzontal! I am excited to do more pages for this album, it is loonnngg overdue!

I seem to be on some super human scrapbook crusade to get as many pages done as possible these past few weeks. I finished the page this morning and loved how it turned out! I bought some of the Pink Paislee Queen Bee line on ebay for another layout I am working on, and used the left over to make this page. 9 Layouts left in the family albums to go!

I have been cranking out layouts trying to get caught up to this year. I am averaging about a page a day lately! I only have 11 layouts left to do to be completely caught up in my family albums! Yeah!

This layout is of our visit to Wolf People in Idaho last year. I suprised my son with a tour of the facility because he has loved wolves for a few years now. He loves them so much he saves his own money in hopes that he can buy himself a huskey some day, just because they look this a wolf.

This is a layout of the air show they had at the local air force base in 2008. We watched a great Blue Angels air show. This layout is from a Becky Fleck Page Maps sketch.

It feels like the boys have been gone forever! They are very good about calling me every other day for an update. I am looking forward to them coming home in 3 weeks. New classes start on monday, I am taking 4 classes (yuck!) this summer to try and speed up graduation. I did have a nice break, got some cleaning done and some pages done! I finished my 2007 family album! Only 15 layouts left to be caught up with family albums. Then I can start working on the boys albums again and my Disney album from this year!

Well, I was up at 4:30 am today to get to the airport to put the boys on a plane to see their Dad in Seattle for a month. I am off of school for two weeks, so I have some time to finish up some scrap pages. I started this one as soon as the new sketch was posted at SOUS. I missed last weeks embossing challenge. I have never been big on embossing, but I am thinking that I need to put a Cuttlebug on my wish list after seeing every ones layouts! This layout is from 2008, its from our local water park where they have my company picnic for work every year.

Now to figure out what I am going to do with myself for the next 5 weeks.....

Okay, time again for the sketch at StuckOnU! This weeks sketch is from PageMaps. I actually did this one twice! I made it the regular way, then thought it would look cool in round also. I got to get out my little sewing machine on these! I only have about 13 layouts left to go to finish my 2006, 2007 and 2008 family albums! So, a long over due update and challenge participation. First, I have been skipping the challenges at StuckOnU, not cause I mean to, I want to but I have been busy and in a scrap funk. I really like this weeks sketch, so....

As for life, we had a great vacation at Disneyland! This is our second year in a row and are now thinking of going to Disney world next year. It will be our first DW trip, so all you Disneyworlder's that have any tips for me, let me know! I think we have had our fill or Disneyland for a little while. Here are some pics, I still need to buy the Photopass CD..

Another Busy Week...

Last week was super busy for us!

Sunday...Bloomsday of course, I don't ever remember being this SORE after a Bloomsday before! I didn't start recovering until Wednesday, of course it didn't even phase the boys, its like they just took a leisurely Sunday stroll!

Monday...Soccer practice. Why does it seem like soccer practices are longer every week?

Tuesday...A little relaxation! Made a layout while watching Lost.

Wednesday.....Went to see Nickleback! So much fun! If you like Nickleback at all, and have a chance to see them in concert, DO IT! Highly recommended. :)

Thursday...I took my mom and sister to the Melting Pot (mmmmmm) for an early mothers day dinner and then a movie (being big horror movie fans, we saw Nightmare On Elm Street)

Friday... William's 11th birthday party!

Saturday.....2 soccer games, yes 2. And our team still remains undefeated, even after playing 14 year olds (our team is 10 and 11 year olds)!

Dinosaurs!

2007 was the year of the dinosaur. Sue the Dino came to our museum. And we went to Walking with Dinosaurs. We loved it! We are bummed that we probably wont get to go next month when they come back. But, we have to keep saving for vacation (2 months away!!!)

As for our soccer tournament, we made it to the semi-finals. My kid got all our goals all weekend! With a grand total of 12! They did awesome!

Movie Layout

I actually got a little scraping done today! I collected our movie tickets from last year, just to see how many there were (we go to a lot of movies), with a grand total of 34! I thought it was scrap worthy. I made a list of the movies we saw and every ones top two. This was a really fun page to make!

As a child of the 80's, I have to mention how upset I am about Corey Haim. I woke up Wednesday morning and went to check my email before work, and read that he was dead. I actually yelled "Oh my God!" I was absolutely in LOVE with him when I was a kid. I cant belive he is gone. I kept waiting for him to make his come back. I thought he would when he was in Crank 2. I have been glued to the internet, waiting to hear more news about what happened to him. I so hope it wasn't drugs that killed him. I don't want him to be remembered as "just another celebrity who overdosed". I just hope that he is at peace now.

I got my SOUS layout done early this week (yeah!). This layout is of a cat we took in named Diva. Her family couldn't keep her because of a move so we took her in for a little while. Unfortunately she wasn't able to stay with us because she could never get used to our other cat, so I had to find her another place to live. She was very sweet and so pretty!

I haven't posted for over a month! I have been so busy with Christmas and starting a new quarter of classes, I have had no time for much. I did get my Disney album finished before Christmas like I hoped. If anyone is interested the entire album is posted here http://www.scrapbook.com/places/Stmako111 No matter how busy I get I cant miss the challenge at Stuck on U! They are back at it after the holiday break. Here is my page. I'm not sure how much I like it, but I didn't have much time. I did get to use a Scal cut from Mardenz (awesome).

I have been working in themes trying to get layouts done. I have been working on getting all my fall-ish pages done (pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving, etc.) and I think I have finally done it! I am on a mission to use up some of my old supplies, so I'm just using what I've got! I am moving on to Christmas/winter theme after this. I have done some. I am really having fun with the sketches these ladies are choosing! I love doing challenges (keeps me motivated), but most challenges seem to be one photo, one page layouts. I never take just one photo, so I have to get creative and turn one into two. This is Halloween last year. We went out trick or treating with some friends. Before we left I took some pictures on the deck of the boys with Grandma and dressed up!

So I have been having fun playing with Inkscape to make files for SCAL. I made this Mickey to go on the title page of my Disney album. It took me awhile to get it right (still not sure if it is) but it worked for me! It really isnt as hard as I thought it was to make these files. But here he is!

Yeah!! It's back to school time! Nik is officially a middle-schooler and seems to be adjusting and enjoying it. William is enjoying his last year in elementary school. This last week has been busy trying to get all of our last minute summer stuff out of the way. We went to Silverwood Theme Park and Pig Out in the Park last weekend. Now that things are starting to slow down I am trying to get caught up on some of my scrapbooking. My goal for September is to get my 2003 family album done. Yep, that's right 2003. Just a few more pages to go...
